Recommendations

Following are a few recommendation letters for Dwan Reed:

Nov. 10, 2010

Wow!  I was looking for a qualified speaker for the Women In Ministry Seminar, on the topic of “inner beauty”.  Dwan is who the Lord connected me with!  She is an eloquent speaker who not only exudes inner beauty, but outer beauty as well.  She is definitely a woman after God’s heart.  Dwan has become a wonderful friend who encourages me on days of difficulty, and on days that seem to go by with ease.  So happy to have someone to identify with and I recommend Dwan, one hundred percent!

To Whom It may Concern;

I am very pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Dwan Reed. She came to us highly recommended for her speaking abilities, she did not disappoint us!

She taught the ladies Seminar here in Arusha during the Local Leadership Seminar. The very lessons that she prepared, “Casting the First Stone”, “Jesus forgives even the most grievous of sins”, ending with “How do we today anoint the feet of Jesus.”

Dwan was well prepared, pleasant in her presentation and most of all, she genuinely  connected with the Christian Ladies here in Tanzania. To say Dwan  is a gifted teacher would be an understatement. She has talent to be sure! She has a gift to share and share she does with a zeal of confidence that is contagious.

For anyone looking for a confident, yet not over confident, able teacher. speaker, and motivator, Dwan Reed is the right choice. We commend her to your service as God’s servant.

Sincerely yours,

Cy S.

I met Dwan Reed in May, 2010 and have loved her every since! We had a Women of Wisdom conference and invited her to be one of the speakers. Dwan spoke at our conference and did a magnificient job! Everyone present said that they enjoyed her. She was a great speaker; well poised, comfortable and was able to inact with those in the audience. Dwan was very spiritual and had absolutely no problem motivating  us. I recommend her highly and would go to hear her speak whenever my schedule permits. She is great and would be an asset to any program !!

To Whom It May Concern,

When Dwan Reed presented her amazing experiences that she encountered during her Tanzania ministry, the members of our congregation were left with a feeling of knowledge and excitement.  Dwan delivered her message in a well-prepared slide show presentation.  As Dwan unfolded the details of her trip to us in a caring and compassionate manner, we could not help but image how purposeful this ministry must have been to the people of this region.  We found her enthusiasm and dedication both inspiring and caring.   In a pleasing tone and a sincere and straightforward way, Dwan was able to convey to us how important her mission was.  The church members were so moved and motivated by learning about how much help the people needed that we decided to offer our support by sending care packages and a monthly donation to the missionaries in Tanzania.

We believe Dwan exhibits many of the qualities that are essential for being a good speaker.  We at Central Church of Christ would highly recommend Dwan for a speaking engagement in any capacity, and would gladly welcome her back again to enrich our lives.

WHERE CHRIST IS CENTRAL

*********

Dwan, a very energized Christian woman began as a volunteer with the South Union Church of Christ Prison Ministry in 2009.  She has been a great asset to our group of volunteers which includes persons (mostly ladies) from three other Church of Christ congregations.  Dwan’s commitment to the ministry consist of her driving from her home in Spring, sometimes alone to join the other volunteers at the Plane State Jail in Dayton Texas every Friday evening.

The lessons that we teach to the inmates are from a curriculum that is written totally for the ministry by members of the church.  Dwan is not the least bit shy about applying God’s word to better explain any part of the lesson when questions arise from the inmates or if the person teaching might need help from the other volunteers.  She is always ready.  She waits eagerly for the opportunity.  Every volunteer chooses the lessons that she would like to teach and when Dwan’s time comes around she gets up-front and personal with the lesson, using God’s word of course as her launching pad and applying her personal experience as a Christian, a minister’s wife, a mother, a writer and a licensed Social Worker.

To Whom it May Concern:

Dwan Reed is a gifted author and speaker who I have had the pleasure of enlisting for various speaking engagements in the last couple of years. Some have been at churches, and some have been at Richmond/SugarLand area Prisons. Her quick wit and infectious personality endears her to any audience instantly! She has the ability to speak to a group as if she were speaking to an individual, therefore always making a strong impact with the stories she weaves.

Above all, Dwan has a servants heart. Her humility and love of God shines through wherever and whenever she speaks. I look forward to asking her to speak again soon at the Carol Vance Unit in Richmond, Texas. It is the only “all Christian bed unit” in Texas. Many of the “guys in white” there have asked when Ms Dwan Reed can come back and speak to them again!

To Whom It May Concern,

Last spring, I had the privilege of hearing Dwan present to our ladies group.  She has an ease of speaking that invites the listener in.  Her presentations are friendly to various learning/listening styles with not only her words, but also visual aids that help drive the point home.  The lessons I heard were very applicable and rich with scripture.  The beauty of Dwan’s heart is evident as she shares the Lord’s word with passion and sensitivity.  I’m thankful she is willing to share that passion so freely.  She is a truly gifted woman!
