About Me
Dwan Reed, LMSW, ACG
Therapist, Freelance Writer, and Speaker
Dwan Reed is a licensed Master of Social Work, graduate of
Denver University, and the University of Missouri. She studied in Madrid,
Spain with St. Louis University. She is currently a doctoral student at
Northcentral University – Marriage and Family Therapy. Dwan, a former child
therapist and school social worker, is a freelance writer, public speaker, and
volunteer women’s prison educator and counselor.
Dwan has a wonderful husband and two brilliant children. She
is a Toastmaster and Area Governor for L43. She recently spoke in Tanzania,
Africa at “Safari for Souls.” Dwan is a member of the Association for Marriage
and Family Therapy, the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and Christian Counselors of Texas.
Dwan is a graduate of the Jerry B. Jenkins Christian
Writers’ Guild – Apprentice Program. Her short stories can be found in Chicken
